I am back…with Russell Crowe and Beyonce Knowles. Jealous?

It’s so good to be back:)

2010 feels like home. I can’t tell you how good it is to see automobiles, skyscrapers, and of course, computers once again. I’ll be honest with you. For a while, in the past, I was really happy. It was great to see a world without pollution and its cause (population, of course. What did you think?) But then, I began to miss it all. I began to miss the mad rush of life. I wanted to be back in the thick of things. And believe it or not – I wanted to be back to the peaceful world of 2010. Yes…2010 is a lot more peaceful for the average Joe and Jane, than all those years of the past!

So…

It’s good to be back, and to be sketching people who make our lives colorful and worth living – people from the world of Entertainment!

Coming soon are the caricatures of:

  • Russell Crowe in the role of … … …? What’s your guess?
  • And Beyonce Knowles!

See you soon:)

(PS: Dr. Who didn’t come to my rescue. His Excuse: He had lost his fig-leaf! On my next trip into the past, I’ll be carrying a chest full of fig-leaves.)

  1. I am terribly sorry about the failed rescue attempt. I still haven’t found the fig leaf which has now become a cause for concern as I have not left the house since and I am running out of food!!! I was wondering if you would be able to send me a few!!!!

    • This is what happens when you go away for a few days…your friends forget you – It’s a case of out of sight, out of mind.

I had traveled back in time. Remember, I wanted to create those caricatures of the historical figures? There were two ways to get things done:
      1. I could’ve temporarily died to meet them in heaven (or hell, as in the case of one Mr. Hitler.)
      2. I could’ve traveled to the past.

Obviously the first option was cheaper, but I was afraid.

You see when you enter heaven (or even hell,) as a guest or a reporter, you need to divest yourself of your life (security issues, they say) and give it to them – they then put it in one of those many cubbyholes designed for this purpose. They put your life in one of those cubbyholes and give you a token. You need to return the token to them, and they return you your life.

Everything’d been fine and I would’ve taken the risk, but I’ve recently come to know of some incidents where they mixed up the cubbyholes and you ended up with a different life when you returned!

And so, I took the more expensive and the riskier option of traveling into the past!

      So…
      that’s where I had been:( and…
I am so very happy to be back…happier that you stopped by:)

      Warm Regards,
      Shafali

    • Hi Adee,

Your work is lovely. I don’t wear jewelry but I can appreciate beauty when I see it:)

Please don’t thank me for anything. I don’t have anything to give – except honest appreciation when it’s due. I am happy to be friends with you.

      Warm Regards, Shafali

    • No…not as Robin Hood. BTW, never liked that character (Robin Hood)!
But I hope you’d like to see Mr. Crowe as Gladitor too:)
One of these days…you’ll motivate me enough to create CO’s caricature:)

  2. Hi Adee,

Welcome here. I am glad you like the blog:) I loved your bead-work. It takes a lot of skill and talent to transform those stones into works of art.

Do visit again and if you like the caricatures, you might want to get an email subscription to the blog.

    Warm Regards,
    Shafali
