Friends, I still haven’t decided upon a Feature I’d want to go ahead with, but I did have a Creativity Carnival in mind.
I trust the following image captures what I had in mind for it. I’d like to thank my blogging101 friends for their inputs on it. While I am still not sure whether this should be a weekly event, I was wondering if some of us would like to give it shot, if I started it, say, coming Friday (July 31, 2015.)
Possible rules in a nutshell (Please recommend addition/deletion)
- Participating bloggers will have a week to make the post.
- The Pen and Ink Caricature drawing will serve as a cue.
- Participating bloggers would be welcome to write a story, an anecdote, a poem, or even draw a picture or post a doodle in response to the cue.
- Participating bloggers will integrate the caricature-drawing into their posts.
- Participating bloggers will provide a ping-back to the carnival post so that other participants can visit their blogs and comment, like, and socialize.
Should I, should I not?
I had tried it once, but such an event cannot thrive on its own. I looked at the Daily Post event form – and a Creativity Carnival doesn’t fit into any of the given categories.
If you think that you’d like to be a part of it, please leave a smiley in the comments 🙂
More later – Keep drawing, writing, and smiling!
I am smiling. Can you see my dentition 😊?

It’s a great idea, so I hope a good number of people participate. I won’t be able to, because my posts are entirely governed by what Gib and his akwayntances are up to. But all the best to everyone else!

I understand, your Gibship! I am sure if there is cat-prompt, you’ll spring into action 🙂

Mmm…can I let you in on a secret? I try to transcribe a few of Gib’s mewsings in advance, so I don’t get stuck for something to post!

I think it’s a wonderful idea! Perhaps it could make it’s own event category in the Daily Post event form. 🙂 I think it’d be great to start it off; if after a few times a week seems too short or not enough people, you could always extend the time frame and see if that starts working better. I will definitely be participating in whatever you decide to do! 😀

Fingers crossed for that. But I think some of us are seriously interested in it…so we’ll begin this Friday 🙂 Let me start thinking about the ink-drawing cue for our first Creativity Carnival.

I think I remember those events in their previous forms… in your previous blogger life and stuff…
Not sure I’ll be able to participate at first, but when I come back from my vacation, if it’s on, I’ll give it a try! 😉

Oh Mr. Venkatachari, I am sure you’ll have an anecdote for everything 🙂 An experience from the past, a situation from your environment…the idea is to get creative…and creativity isn’t always about writing fiction or poetry or even drawing crazy stuff like I do – it’s also about connecting a thought with another 🙂

I doubt whether I can do anything over it.
