Caricature Gallery Updated with 15 Recent Drawings!

Dear Friends,

I’ve updated the Caricature Gallery with new caricatures in almost all sections. If you’ve begun to visit my blog recently, you might not have seen the caricatures that I’ve uploaded since November 2010, as they were not there in the Gallery until now.

The Celebrity Caricatures that have been added to the gallery include:

• a Polymer Clay caricature of the Devil.

Cool Caricaturist – Lisa!

It’s high time that a woman caricaturist made an appearance on this blog. With great pride in the fairer, nicer, softer, prettier, and much more patient half of humanity; I introduce Caricatures by Lisa here.

I love her work for the ease and spontaneity of her sketches, and also her ability to bring the same raw energy to her color drawings. Among the women caricaturists that I’ve seen on the web so far, I’d say her work is possibly the best – but then I am not a Super-sleuth, so if you’ve got some intelligence on other women caricaturists, please leave their links in the comment section of this post.

Plans…plans…plans!

Ah well! I first went crazy drawing all those Hollywood actors and actresses. Then  I went on a trip into the past and brought along historical caricatures. Now, try as I might, I am not able to go back to Hollywood. In fact, Bollywood has been calling me!

Here are the caricatures that I am thinking of drawing. (I’ve done a couple of sketches already…)

Caricatures of Bollywood Films – Male Actors:

• Aamir Khan (The first Idiot in The Three Idiots.)
• Shahrukh Khan (The Self-proclaimed King of Bollywood.)
• Salman Khan (Mr. Six-Pack Shirtless.)
• Akshay Kumar (The Singh of the “Singh is Kinng” fame – yes, Kin(n)g!)
• Shahid Kapoor (The Baby-faced jilted lover of Kareena Kapoor.)

(Don’t expect them in the same order though.)

(Yes, I mean actresses, but I was trying to keep my language bias-free!):

• Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Ex-Ms. Universe, Current Mrs. Kid Bachchan.)
